These Terms of Sale apply to all purchases made through the BatiKita website. By placing an order with us, you agree to these terms.
About Us
BatiKita sells batik clothing and related items through our online store. Our products may include handmade, hand-painted, or small-batch pieces, which means slight variations in colour, print, or finish may occur and are part of their unique character.
Products
We do our best to display product descriptions, colours, measurements, and images as accurately as possible. However, actual colours may vary slightly depending on your screen or device.
Because some of our items are handmade or hand-finished, minor variations are not considered faults.
Orders
When you place an order, you are making an offer to purchase the item(s) in your cart. All orders are subject to availability and acceptance.
We reserve the right to refuse, cancel, or limit any order at our discretion, including where:

If we cancel an order after payment has been made, we will issue a refund to the original payment method.

All prices are listed in Australian Dollars (AUD) unless otherwise stated.
Prices may change at any time without notice. The price charged will be the price shown at checkout at the time your order is placed.
Shipping costs, taxes, duties, or other charges are shown separately at checkout where applicable.
Payments
We accept payment methods made available at checkout.
Payment must be received in full before your order is processed and shipped.
If your payment is declined or cannot be processed, your order will not be completed.
Shipping

Delivery timeframes are estimates only and may vary depending on your location, shipping provider, peak periods, or events outside our control.
Once an order has been shipped, we are not responsible for delays caused by the shipping carrier.
Risk and Title
Ownership of the goods passes to you once full payment has been received and the goods have been dispatched.
Risk in the goods passes to you upon delivery.
International Orders
If you place an order from outside Australia, you may be responsible for import duties, taxes, customs fees, or other local charges. These charges are the responsibility of the customer unless otherwise stated.
We are not responsible for delays caused by customs processes.
Change of Mind Returns
We accept change of mind return requests within 14 days of delivery, provided the item is:

returned in original packaging where possible
Return shipping costs for change of mind returns are the customer’s responsibility. Original shipping charges are non-refundable.
We reserve the right to refuse returns that do not meet these conditions.
Faulty, Damaged, or Incorrect Items
If you receive an item that is faulty, damaged, or incorrect, please contact us at info@batikita.com.au within 7 days of delivery with your order number and clear photos.
Where required under Australian Consumer Law, we will provide an appropriate remedy, which may include a repair, replacement, or refund.
Items will not be considered faulty where they show normal wear and tear, damage caused by misuse, improper care, or natural variations in handmade products.
Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in these Terms of Sale excludes, limits, or modifies any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other applicable law.
Where our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under Australian law, you are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
Pre-Orders
If we offer pre-order items, the estimated shipping date will be stated on the product page where possible. These dates are estimates only and may change.
If your order contains both pre-order and in-stock items, we may ship them together or separately at our discretion.
Promotions and Discount Codes
Promotional codes must be entered at checkout and cannot usually be applied after an order is placed.

Our liability to you for any claim relating to goods purchased from us is limited to the amount paid for the relevant product, except where liability cannot be excluded by law.

Any personal information collected during your purchase will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Governing Law
These Terms of Sale are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes arising in connection with these terms or your purchase will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
